My Story
I'm Amanda! I've been married to my husband Nate for 18 years and we live in North Carolina. We are both self-employed and have been for many years but our work-life balance is not very traditional (more on that later ) We love to travel and take our RV to the beach!

My journey started almost 19 years ago. I was newly married and collectively, my husband and I were in a ton of debt. Debt is no fun. It's stressful and it feels daunting, especially as a young married couple. Between a new car and credit cards, we were $75,000.00 in consumer debt.

We decided a year into our marriage, and after a friend told me about Dave Ramsey, that we didn't want to live paycheck to paycheck anymore. We made a plan to become debt free. This is when my side hustle journey began.

While my husband and I both had full-time jobs we quickly realized that those jobs would not allow us to pay off our debt as soon as we wanted. So, I began looking for ways to make extra money and save money to help us pay off our debt quickly.

I tried everything. I took surveys, did mystery shopping, was a reseller on platforms like eBay and Amazon (more on that later, too!) and so much more. Slowly, I built a nice stream of income from side hustles which allowed us to pay off our debt in three years. And we are still debt free today!

I'm passionate about side hustles and saving money as it has afforded me so much time flexibility and the ability to meet my goals sooner. We trade time for money so every time I do a side hustle or save a dollar I feel like I'm earning more time. So whether you are here to learn how to make a few extra bucks, create a new stream of income or save money, I am excited to share with you all that I have learned over the years.
